I'm going to be out of town half of June, so I decided to get a jump-start on the Block of the Month for the Temecula Valley MQG Charity BOM. I followed the tutorial and ended up with 8.5-inch blocks. Our Charity blocks are supposed to be 12.5-inches. Dang! The first photo shows the difference in the sizes.
I've been making 4 blocks each month, two are donated to the Charity BOM and two stay at Casa Prytz, for a future quilt. So, now I have four 8.5-inch blocks to use in a future project. The problem was that I should have waited until after the meeting; when the block was presented. Natalie explained that she needed to add an inch to everything to make the 12.5-inch block that is our goal.
May your bobbins always be full,
