English Paper Piecing

While I was on a 3-week cruise, in March and April, there were a number of sea days.  I took some fabric and EPP supplies to occupy myself on the sea days.  During past cruises I had Bob to occupy a lot of my time, playing card games and Scrabble; and we were both voracious readers, so we read, too.  I still read, but I didn't want to read for 8-10 hours a day; so my solution was "slow-sewing" otherwise known as English Paper Piecing.

This was my progress, I made a "star" on each sea day.  I will use the plaid fabric for the diamond shapes between the stars.

We had 11 sea days, and I made 11 stars.  Hand sewing is not my favorite thing, it's almost my least favorite thing.  Someday this quilt will be finished, but not anytime soon!

May your bobbins always be full,
