I couldn't agree more

I shamelessly copied and pasted these two quotes, because I couldn't have said it better.

We sew our hopes and wishes into the very fiber of their world. Wishes for the magic of childhood to last, for the bloom of adulthood to be strong and beautiful. In a world we can’t control we form fabric, bake, garden, paint because theses are things we CAN do. Working in needle and thread we craft our deepest desires. {from here}

This is indeed why I sew!
But also because the process of finding the 'right' fabric and to be (hopefully) even more positively surprised when all blocks are sewn together and sum up to even more.
I also create just for my sake.  {from here}

30 great places to buy cheap fabric online

90% of my sewing is done with no recipient, or no project, in mind.  I love getting an idea, finding just the right fabrics, most of which are in my stash, and cutting and sewing to make it happen.  I've always loved to be creative, and fabric is my current medium.  At the rate I'm going, it may be my last medium.  It may take me 20 years to use all my fabric!
May your bobbins always be full,
