Large Zig Small Zag Quilt.

This baby is ready for prime time, I mean the long arm quilter.  The finished size is going to be about 53x76 inches.  I received the extra 2 yards of Rich Red I needed to finish this quilt top, on Saturday.  I worked the entire weekend, so yesterday, after a couple of errands, I spent the rest of the day, into the evening sewing.  I wanted to finish up, because we're having our card group here, tonight, and I use my dining room table for cutting and laying out fabric.

Today I trekked to the closest ballpark to take these photos.  I thought the Red,White and Blue fabric went well at a ballpark.  I'm always amazed at how much math is involved in quilting!  This quilt required a lot of math!

The large zig zags look white, in the above photos, they really are blue and white.  Here's a close-up:

By the way, I hung the quilt top upside down, and didn't realize it until I was home!

I wrote a tutorial for the quilt top.  Nothing fancy, believe me.  If you're interested, it's here.
May your bobbins always be full,

  1. G'day Jan. Wow, they look great. I liked the close up of it as I could really see the blue and white. Well done. Take care. Liz...

  2. Hey Jan!
Smart move taking your quilt out to the ball field.
The photos turned out so well.
    I really love your quilt!
