I've been wanting to try the jelly roll strip quilt method, but I didn't want such a large quilt; and as usual, I didn't want to follow the exact directions. One of the young booksellers at my store is expecting and has settled on owls as a theme for her baby girl's nursery. I had the above fabric in my stash, and with that as inspiration, pulled the fabrics below to co-ordinate.
I'll use these for the strips, and I think I'll do something a little different with the owl fabric; perhaps a larger center strip. I really like the luxury of having fabric available, when I want it. (That's me justifying my past fabric splurges!)
