I only had 1/2 yard of this wonderful fabric "Whiskers and Tails".  Love the dogs wearing shoes!  Love that the designer, Nina Herold, has the dogs going left and right; but she didn't just flip the images of each breed, they're all a tad different.  Since I had a limited quantity, I decided to "fussy-cut" and ended up with 25 dogs to work with.  I kept framing them in mostly bright colors.

When I laid them all out, I decided against a 5x5 lay-out, and went with a 4x6.  I'll use the extra for the back.

Then I thought I'd really like a charcoal sashing.  I consulted with my favorite guy and quilt model, and he approved.

Then I was visiting Sarah of Hip To Piece Squares, to leave a comment, when I noticed her header quilt.  Be sure to check out her blog.

I have a jumble of small bright fabric strips left over from the framing, so I decided to to place bright cornerstones in the sashing, that should make it "pop".  I'll do the sashing and cornerstones tomorrow, then do the back.

May your bobbins always be full,
